New 4K Movie Releases Worth Checking Out

by Ronald Elias

“Jumanji: The Next Level”

It’s time to take your movie watching to the next level. After a successful reboot, the “Jumanji” series continues on yet another adventure, bringing Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan back for more. Just don’t get sucked into the video game yourself, and you’ll probably be fine.

“Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga”

Fans have been clamoring for this one for some time; the complete Skywalker Saga has finally arrived from a galaxy far, far away to see a 4K release. For the newer movies, this isn’t really a big deal, but finally getting to see the original trilogy in 4K is an experience worth the wait.

Just make sure your TV and sound system are up to the task, because you are about to journey through space like never before.

“Fast and the Furious” Collection

What’s better than one movie hitting 4K? How about EIGHT movies? Take a drift through the “Fast and Furious” series when it roars into your home in riveting detail, explosive sound, and pixel-perfect clarity.

If you can’t drive fast cars around all day, at least you can watch other people drive fast cars around!

“Braveheart”

Phew -- can you believe it’s already the 25th anniversary of “Braveheart”? To celebrate, you’ll soon be able to watch Mel Gibson again don a kilt in the upcoming 25th anniversary 4K set. It won’t release until the first week of May, but that’s right around the corner, so you won’t have to wait long for your Scottish vacation.

Pixar Marathon

Pick your personal poison from Pixar’s pictures: A bunch of the studio’s beloved films have just hit 4K. From “Monsters, Inc” and “Monsters University,” to “”A Bug’s Life,” “Up,” and “WALL•E,” it’s a great time to revisit some of the studio’s art and animation in a mind-blowing resolution that you haven’t experienced  -- at least at home -- before.

“Sonic the Hedgehog”

OK, so this release is another one you are going to have to wait a bit for, but don’t worry: Sonic is running his fastest to get to your home theater in 4K.

If you missed the blue blur’s live action debut, then now is your chance to see the Sega mascot race around and try to outsmart Dr. Robotnik, played by none other than Jim Carrey.

It looks like we all are going to be stuck inside for a while yet, so it’s time to get comfortable and enjoy some movie marathons! Of course, you really should be watching everything in 4K these days, so these new 4K releases can help pass the hours -- and days! -- with action, adventure, comedy, and thrills.

What’s that, you say? You don’t have a 4K capable player of TV? Well, what are you waiting for!? Give us a call today, and we’ll help you pick out a 4K TV that’s perfect for your movie-binging needs.
